Stream Reports
10-31-2009
High water has put our season on hold for now, but we should be looking good by mid-week. New pods of fish have surely moved in and should make for some great days as soon as the water clears and comes down a bit. Keep your feet moving until you find the fish and then stay with them. Be courtious to other fishermen as crowds are at an all time high. A smile and "hello" goes a long way on crowded streams.

Steelhead are in the streams, now we just need the weather to cooperate. All the streams are starting to clear but the Catt just doesn't want to cooperate. Don't let the stream flows fool ya, the water is blown right now and it's only flowing in the 400's. Flood diversion on the north area of the res. seems to be clouding up the water no matter what the levels are. This makes what was once a good fishable level, dirty and cloudy, and a little more difficult to fish. This has the makings of a great Steelhead season, call soon to grab a date before they're gone, and tight lines.

Well Steelhead season is officially here. Fish have been making their way into the larger Erie tribs in fishable numbers. The smaller tribs still don't have enough water yet, but a couple good days of rain should fix that. If your going out fishing, just do the fish a favor and take a themometer along. Temps were in the high 60's yesterday, which could be lethal to the fish if caught. Fish the mornings, but be kind and stay away from the afternoons as long as the water temps are rising in the afternoons. Thanks, and as usual...Tight Lines.

Hopefully the spring will eventually come. The Erie tribs are shot, and who knows when they'll recover. The smaller ones obviously will fish before the Catt. Ontario is starting to shape up. There have been fish in for a while, just need temps to come up some more to really turn them on. Once we get a few days in a row of no rain, they should be fishing. Keep the faith.

The Lake Erie tribs are starting to look good, especially the smaller ones. The Catt is still too high, but is coming down. On the flip side, the forcast now shows rain on Tues. night and Wed. into Thurs. This could have a negative impact depending on how much and where it falls.
On the other hand, the Lake Ontario tribs are fishing, and producing good numbers of fish. Get out while you can.
If you are looking for any Fall dates, I still have some good dates available. Give me a call.
Tight Lines,
Jason
